Inspired heavily by Midwestern Emo bands, Self Help Books came out of their shell. They found their own sound with tracks like "Marvin" and "I'm So Stupid Why Am I Even Alive?" along with revisiting demo favourites "I Regret A Few Things" and "Disarm Yourself."
Filled with expressive vocal melodies, aggressive guitar, bass and drums, this album was essentially written for anyone not having a super great time and quietly hurting.
